Marvel already has borrowed Spiderman, so you would really be only getting Ghostbusters and a MIB reboot.

In terms of franchises I’m not sure Dreamworks brings any that would crack Pixar’s top five animated franchises.

I think that would require Disney having enough capital to purchase the entire Sony conglomerate, which is about $60 billion right now and covers many industries Disney has no business being in. Granted Disney is worth about $150 billion, that would be leveraging a lot of their assets for a company that doesn’t add a lot of strategic value. If they were to round out with another strategic partner, it would almost certainly be a streaming service, but they seem to have partnered with Amazon already (aside from some Marvel stuff licensed to Netflix) for streaming and they’re over $750 billion so it may look more like the other way around. Though I wouldn’t mind more disney digital content on Amazon.

I think they’ll want to wait for the Batflick’s contract to be up so they can wash the stink of this current DCU off (with the exception of WW).

Yeah I don’t think even Disney would try to touch that at this point. I wonder what a Christian Bale extended universe would have looked like...

Idk the Batman storylines get a little campy as soon as you introduce Robin and I don’t think Bale has the comedic chops that any of the Avengers/GotG stars have, especially RDJ. The Dark Knight series was great, but I’m glad they only alluded to Robin and only gave a glimpse of Catwoman.

Not really. Sony could just sell off it’s playstation division and keep the rest, though the playstation pretty much rescued that company from going the way of sanyo and panasonic, and is their most profitable division. They’re not likely to let it go.
Maybe the mouse can grab Microsoft’s xbox division in a decade or so if it wants, barring a reversal of fortune for Sony or Nintendo.

They just recently closed a deal where they basically own Hulu now.

Damn I did not hear about that it makes sense. I’d imagine they’ll probably leave Hulu alone and just take their IP and launch an all Disney streaming service.
